Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies the BVT Student Store uses, why, and how you can control them. Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser.
We group cookies into two categories. Necessary cookies — including functional cookies that make embedded tools such as our support widget work — are needed for the store to operate and are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the service you ask for. Analytics cookies are optional, off by default, and set only after you allow them.
This policy is version 2026-07-21. We update it whenever the cookies we use change.
Necessary cookies
These keep the store working — signing you in, remembering your cart through checkout, protecting against fraud, detecting automated attacks when you place an order, remembering your cookie choice, and running our embedded support widget so you can reach help. They do not require your consent because the store cannot function without them, but we disclose them here.
Bot detection sits in this category rather than being optional. It exists to stop automated attacks on checkout, and a control that an attacker could simply switch off would not protect anyone. We do not use it to build a profile of you or to show you advertising.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand traffic and usage so we can improve the store. Analytics cookies are disabled by default and are only set after you allow analytics, and only in our live (production) store. If you reject or withdraw consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

Google Analytics cookie names and durations depend on Google's configuration and are provided as a guide. Google Analytics cookies are absent until you allow analytics in the live store.
The reCAPTCHA cookie is set by Google, on Google's own domain, when you reach checkout without being signed in. Its name and duration are Google's and are provided as a guide.
Third parties
Some cookies are set by trusted third parties whose tools we embed:
- Google — Google Analytics, loaded only in our live store and only after you allow analytics.
- Google — reCAPTCHA, which protects checkout from automated attacks. Google receives information about how the page is used in order to score the request. Google's use of that information is governed by its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Freshworks — our support widget, which lets you reach our help desk. It sets a functional cookie on the freshworks.com domain.
We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising networks.
No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, marketing pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising tools.
Changing your preferences
You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time using the link in the site footer, which reopens your cookie settings.
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the store — such as sign-in, your cart, or checkout — from working.
